Posted by ILSL on July 25, 2007, 17:42:48 I have observed smokers making slow exhales, or exhaling through sentences in conversation, or maybe doing a extra exhale to clear the smoke from the body. But, I had not seen anything before like this girl's staged-puffing exhale. I presume it is her normal behavior because thats the way she did it each time I could watch her.

I made an interesting sighting today. I pulled into a McD in mid-afternoon for a snack (or quick lunch) and observed a young female exiting the building. Blond, long pony tail, blue tank top, denim shorts, flip-flops, sunglasses, black hand bag, and beverage cup. With one hand she reach into the bag and pulled a white-tip cig and disposable lighter. Cig to the corner of the mouth, light up, and hand returns lighter to bag. As I was getting out of my vehicle, she took a drag and remove the cig holding it between two fingers. Then she exaled a puff of smoke. About 2 to 3 seconds later, she blows another puff, then another, then another. She sat down in the outdoor chairs. While waiting to place my order, I watched through the glass. She took more drags and repeated the staged-puffing exhale. After I sat down with my burger, she finished her smoke and came back inside (for the AC?) and sat at the opposite table. Blue eyes, smooth skin, late teens maybe early 20s. Now she intently studied the cell phone in her hand and sipped her beverage. A few minutes later, she was up and gone out the door. When I finished and walked out, she was getting into a van driven by an older man.
