Who would have thought she smoked?
Posted by ILSL on July 8, 2007, 19:09:00 BTW, here is Florida. I agree with Moejoe40 that we are blessed with many smoking women in this region of the country. Its great. When I go to an upscale restaurant, I see many well-to-do women smoking on the verandas. I was at an open air restaurant recently. At the table next to me a man, woman and boy. The woman smoked 2 cigs before the meal and 1 after. On the other side three women and two men at a table. As the three women finished their soups and salads, they all pulled out their cigs and fired up. The men kept eating their fish. They finished. They talked and ordered coffee. The ladies were smoking up one cig after another. Never did see the men smoke at either table. Sorry this got long. Will try to post something more interesting next time.

I discovered this board about a week ago (and also Late Bloomer Smokers Board). I read everything. My favorite posts are the mother/daughter sightings. Jennifer and Donna over on Late Bloomers are smoking moms (non-smoking husbands) who are dealing with teenage duaghters taking up the habit. My teenage daughter tells me lots of girls at her school smoke but only few of the boys. Is there some kind of social dynamic happening here? Women smoking more - men smoking much less. Is smoking becoming a normative female behavior? Mothers and daughters bonding. Young career women impacting every area of our economic and political life. Around here I see many career women and their househusband spouses.
