Was waiting at a bus stop this evening when I saw two young women come out of the nearby underground (subway) station. One, the less attractive, was smoking, but her blond, very sexy friend was not. The smoking girl approached a convenience store right by where I was standing, dragging heavily on her cigarette, double-pumping frantically, trying to finish it before she got inside. She didn't manage to, and asked her non-smoking friend to hold it for her while she went in. Her friend objected, but in the end gave in and held the cigarette between finger and thumb with obvious disgust as her friend shopped (probably for more cigarettes). But as her friend left the store, the girl holding the cigarette decided to play a joke , raising the cigarette to her lips to pretend she was taking a drag, to shock her friend. Well, it worked, and they both had a good laugh about it. She handed back the half-smoked cigarette, but then the smoking girl said "Go on then" and passed it back to her non-smoking friend, who took a real drag, exhaled, and said, with pleasant surprise, "That actually tasted quite nice" before the two walked off. I think I witnessed someone's first ever drag - and by the looks of it, not her last...
