Posted by Usually Lurks on January 28, 2006, 4:55:48, in reply to "Pre-Dangle" Many years ago, like late 70s, I used to get my car serviced at a dealership, and I swear I had this sighting 2-3 times over the course of a year. I'd show up around mid-morning, and be waiting in the sales floor area. There was a long open staircase leading from the office suite down to the showroom floor, right in the middle of everything. All of a sudden, this group of three (or was it four?) ladies, office employees, would descend the stairs on the way to their morning break--coffee mugs in one hand, cigarette packs in the other, and all dangling unlit 100s! (If memory serves, Marlboro Gold 100s, B&H, and Salem 100s.) Two looked to be in their 20s, and the B&H lady was maybe 40-ish and looked to be in charge (boss's wife, office manager, or maybe just "lead smoker"). All impecably hairstyled, dressed, and made up--and eager to light up! The way the staircase was made it look like some sort of surreal dangling pageant. And it must've happened every day!
