Posted by Drew on December 29, 2005, 8:38:11 A second sighting was right outside baggage claim. It was taking a while for our bags to arrive so I decided to head out for another smoke. Right behind me followed a cute girl, probably 5ft 8 or so with black stillettos and jeans on. She also lit up a Marlboro Light followed by a series of deep drags and tight cone exhales. She talked on her phone the entire time so she provided plenty of talking exhales. She smoked the cigarette down the the filter then crushed it on the trash can and dropped it in. A cloud of exhale smoke followed her inside the door. Turns out we were on the same airline as she waited at my carousel for her bag. I wish I had the opportunity to sit next to her and get the combo smell of smoke and perfume. Two great sightings I would say.

No doubt that airports are the best place for sightings. First off, you get those smokers who are trying to absorb the most possible smoke and nicotine before getting on a plane and having to go without, and then you get those who just got off a plane and are dying for that first cigarette. I got off my plane on tuesday and went directly to the smoking lounge for my first cigarette as well. I had to ask for matches as my lighter was snagged at the previous airport, but right inside the smoking lounge was a cute blond (25-30) who was smoking a Marlboro Light. I caught her putting the pack back in her bag while she dangled her lit cigarette. I asked her if I could borrow her matches and she said sure. While there we eached enjoyed our cigarette. She was a real smoker who did a series of cheek hollowing drags and snap inhales followed by talking exhales and nose exhales. She spoke about her husband and kids who were inside while she was outside smoking. Her last drag was very deep and hard as she tried to get all the final smoke from the cigarette. She then dropped the butt to the floor and did a quick drag across it with her shoe to put it out. She then waited for me as I finished my cigarette. We said goodbye and went on our way.
