How it will work is player 1 will post a gag or comedy "beat" (Simpsons only, at least for this inaugural series) he deems funny enough to withstand a challenge from another player. The first dude to post a challenge video of his own, one he thinks is funnier, becomes player 2. the game is now on. The winner is determined by the rest of the board via a one-man-one-vote plebiscite. The loser of the vote is saddled with an 'H' as well as the responsibility to post a new video and once again take on the first challenger. The original game's Player 2 is not eligible to challenge in the round immediately subsequent to his win -- this is to keep the rotation of players flowing relatively freely. A player is eliminated after losing the five rounds (votes) necessary to spell out HORSE. The last man standing wins.
I think it's best if we keep entries as brief as possible -- a single joke or beat -- but it's not like it's feasible to be totally strict on that. If anything, make an effort to find a challenge video whose length is within a few seconds of the original. If the board deems the challenge to be inappropriate (maybe we should appoint an impartial referee? maybe the ref should be the previous round's winner?) then player 2 will be asked to choose a new one.
I'll start. My entry, specifically, is the footage from :27 to :44.
