I was thinking about this myself. Castlevania was third party, and of course Shadowrun, and if I had to list a few more notables I probably could (Contra, Mega Man) but the importance of Nintendo-made games can't be underestimated. It's also creazy that one of the best titles was the very first to be released
Ross also makes a great point with Griffey (another in-house product). I've heard tales of Simp, Laf, and the Summer of Griffey.
Also, you could never have this conversation about the NES since the obvious winner is Mario 3 and it's basically beyond discussion.
