and it's not even close.
Accomplishments:
-less than 12 weeks of fulltime work.
-trips to LA, NYC, Providence, PEI, oh and I almost forgot, the Cayman Islands
-lobster from two different oceans consumed
-sunburns suffered in both June and December
-Waffles ratio in excess of 13
-dust accumulation in my clock radio, making it difficult to tune radio stations
-a pace of 2.1 solo movie matinees per week, maintained from sept. thru nov.
-GTA San Andreas completed for the second time, with play time confined to the hours between 11pm and 4am exclusively
-white straight ahead shirt, size L, purchased from revhq.com in august, out of boredom (already owned a M at the time)
Fact-check it. Give the kid the lifetime achievment award.
I'll tell you, it's bittersweet to be back on top. Solly, Sami and myself dominated the early part of the decade, following the Simp dynasty of '97-2000, only to be wholly supplanted in recent times by your Georges and your Rosses (granted, this had as much to do as anything with the jurisdictional vaguaries and ambiguities created by Sami's residing in foreign countries during the prime of his leisure career. There are asterisks in the record book, and that's putting mildly)
Who looks good in 2008? I start a 12-month contract today, so a repeat is basically out of the question. You gotta like that Howie has already lined up three months of skiing/lift-monkeying in Whistler right out of the gate. I'm probably riding with him. Never count Ross out, though; he's never more than a whim's distance from saying #### it and moving out to the greener (far greener, if you catch my corny drift) pastures of Van Island , where he'll surely make up for any productivity alongside Brian at the house with massive dick-pullery on the slopes and in the region's many fine ale houses.
Should we do a pool? It'd have to be with weighted odds, naturally, but I'm all for t.
