Am looking forward to a summer without football for once! At least we went down fighting (well after Darren Ferguson left).
In 1981 I was glued to the radio. We'd won at Derby and needed West Ham to win at Cardiff to stay up. it was 0-0 and we went down with the Bristol clubs.
20 years in the lower divisions followed of course. If we can keep Phil Brown (and he seems to want to stay) then we are in with a shout next season.
Come on Martin: would you really want to have been born in Manchester? or Barcelona?
