Two new SYL teams have earned a spot in the SYL National finals in November. It has been asked if the SYL finals are a legal excuse for missing school.
The answer is yes. The SYL national finals are a US Olympic Development event. If needed, all players on teams attending will be provided a letter from from the USOC and USL to send to your school. We will provide an official roster.
In the past it has been a source of pride for schools to announce a students involvement.
In any case you should let your school know of your accomplishment.
After all, there are only 12 teams in your age group left from across the country that have eraned the right to be there.
