Past-O-Rama Freeze

Hi,
on my computer (Celeron 500, 3dfx VooDoo3 AGP video, CMedia 8738 sound) Past-O-Rama freezes whenever I enable the sound. I have the latest drivers of all my hardware. What could cause this, and is there a workaround (other than turning off the sound)?
