Told a few years ago by the new owner of the gallery that it would be worth around £1000 to £1200 - mine is the black velvet with the rocks and moon and definitely doesn't have a bucket either. regards Lesley

: I have 3 IXER paintings, 2 on velvet, one
: kitten, one cheetah and an oil landscape,
: allbought by my parents in Cornwall, I
: should be interested in anything you find

: Hi
:
: We have a painting, which we bought in
: Newquay, Cornwall in 1975.
: It is signed IXER in bottom right corner -
: printed upper case letters.
: The scene is Holywell Bay near Newquay
: The painting is 17" by 24" and is
: painted
: on a very dark velvet.
: The picture clearly shows the massive rocks
: on the beach. The sea and the sky between an
: opening in the clouds is painted in a
: distinct vivid green, which catches any
: light reflecting on the painting
:
: I cannot see a bucket on the picute.
:
: Is this painting likely to be the IXER you
: are writing about?
:
: Many thanks

: Ixer paintings are retailing in Brisbane,
: Australia for about AU$900-$4300 depending
: on size and quality. They are distinctive
: by the bucket somewhere in the painting.
: For the size you've indicated, expect
: somewhere around AU$2500 - AU$3500.
