Hi! I have two pictures that seem to resemble those you describe. I have always thought that the children are Mexican. I believe that these are lithographs by an artist called Hibbeling; the initial is indecipherable - could be G or Y. Contact me at rix dot renton at gmail dot com to discuss further.
