I used to live in Sheffield during the 1960s and
my dad used to frequent a pub in Dronfield.
One night he returned home with three rolled up
tubes of cartridge paper.
When unrolled they revealed three very accomplished portraits done in pastel on coloured
card,signed J Arundel Massey.
This guy was obviously very talented and it would
be interesting to know what became of him,and if
his talent was recognized commercially.
I still have his pictures on the wall - the only
original artwork I have - and probably bought for the price of a few beers.
