I also have a oil painting by E.W.K. Collande. He was born in Gladbeck, Germany on Mai 08., 1927. He began working with graphic arts and as a designer. Studies followed in Düsseldorf and he attended the lessons of G. Wegener and Willy Faltin. Journeys to Italy, France and Switzerland but mainly through all parts of the alps. A. Lengauer publishers in Munich printed several picture postcards showing mountain sceneries, which found wide acceptance and supported him getting a famous name for art belovers. In addition to the alpine sceneries the artist paints those of typical German villages. Permanent study exhibition of the artist since 1950.
I hope I could give you some information about the artist. At the present I have no knowledge wether or not the artist is still living. His paintings seem to be more or less in privat hands.
