Hi, we are an awesome family in VA looking to add another "equine" member to our family. We have two mares & one is being retired from the ring this year to just be a fat & happy pasture pet! We wouldn't take a million in cash for either mare and hope to find another that is just as special. I am a board member of two rescue groups in VA. I am a volunteer with 4H and I own a silver jewelry business that specializes in animal/horse designs and donates a portion of all proceeds to animal rescue groups. We have EXCELLENT references including rescue members, farrier and vet. We will have a NEW steel barn with 5 stalls completed in early Sept. and our new home will be done in late Sept. or early Oct. I know most people here need to move their horses quickly but we might be able to do a short term board situation if we find the right horse. We are not picky about breed, size or color. Only disposition, kindness and health. Must be sound for WTC and possible 4H work in the future. Some retraining issues are no problem but others such as kicking, biting, and general bad attitude/mean horses are not welcome due to our child and other horse's safety. Prefer 14 hands & up. English or Western. Prefer states/towns within 400 miles of Richmond Virginia and prefer horses that NEED a home and that are just not for sale. Please, we are NOT looking for an expensive bells and whistles show prospect that is top dollar. We could "BUY" a horse anywhere locally. We are looking for a horse in NEED of a special family.
