Posted by Scott Swyden In the past few summers, one particular organization has been sending mail to a large number of Oklahoma girls, under the name of US Junior Nationals. Basically, it is a total waste of players' money. There are no significant college coaches who view these events, so your players don't get any benefit from their investment. I know of several players who have attended this event the past couple of summers, and they have been VERY disappointed, and realized after the fact that it was just a "cash cow" for the organizers. If you ever have questions about any summer events that you receive mail on, please do not hesitate to contact myself or Greg Swaim (greg@gregswaim.com) and we will do our best to find out whether or not the event is legitimate or beneficial.

Attention to all coaches:
The mailing tells of "tryouts" or camps on certain days, with the possibility of being selected to go to another camp later in the summer. It has been held in Norman, at the Huston Huffman center in the past.
I am trying to alert coaches, because many players ask their coach, or the coach gets this mailing, because these events are NOT what they look like.
The events are very sub-par, and the level of players in the entire US Junior Nationals around the country is very weak. However, there is a significant charge to anyone who signs up for it.
