The Furrytale farm is in desperate need of help. Our donations have fallen so low, we are finding outselves in the hard situation to re-home some of our retired horses. All horses are ONLY pasture sound unless otherwise noted. No one is swaybacked, all look good, and are up-to-date. We are asking $150 donation for each horse, and you would have to meet the adoption critera, of course. Please consider giving one of these beautiful horses a home, for whatever time they may have left with us. We are a NO KILL shelter, untill quality of life is a issue, most of these horses have worked very hard, all of their life, and deserve to live out their lives as the kings and queens they are!!
1) Baco: 24yr old TB gelding, black bay, absoutly stunning horse. Looks 5 yrs old! Apx 16hh, 100% pasture sound, but has a old ligament injury that makes him unsound for riding. Sweet, but the boss gelding. Needs a float soon.
2) Juliet: apx 26yr old Warmblood mare. Very light grey, appears white. Beautiful, nice conformation. As with Baco, looks and acts 5! Around 16.1? Very easy keeper. Used as a school horse in the past, and worked into the ground.
3) Misty: Mid-late 20's QH or TB cross. Bay, sweet and loving, very safe around kids. 15.3, needs a little more weight put on her. (recent rescue for us) Due for a float, may be why she's on the skinny side.
4) Rick: 22 yr old Chestnut and White Tovero gelding. 15.2hh, 1100 lbs. Big ol' guy, used as a trail and pack horse formerly. Unfortunatly, too long... as he had a hock injury that was never resolved. Still limps above a walk. Comfortable on occ. bute, very sweet, but shy.
5) Rosco: 22 yr old Draft Mule. Sorrel, and MASSIVE. Ricks best friend, and as sweet as they come! He is a lover, and a gentle giant. Only about 16hh, but must be at least 1500lbs. 100% kid safe, and mother approved, but only a pasture pet, as he has severe arthritis in his knees.
6) Focus: 16 yr old purebred egyptian arab gelding. 14.3hh Beautiful bay, with the classic exotic face. Sweet, loving, super friendly, LOVES kids, But was broke too early, and shown too hard. He has DSLD, but is just fine on supplements at this time! Playful, and just a doll to be around.
7) LoLo: 4 yr old purebred arab, 15.2+ black bay (very dark) perfect conformation, super long legs, amazing movement, and unlimited potential! Ready to train your way. He is essentially unworked, needs a knowledgable home, and arab friendly, but is sweet, willing, and wants to learn! $2000 OBO.
8) Sedona: 22 yr old TB mare, unraced, prior life as a 3 day eventer! Black, apx 16-16.1hh Super talented, well broke, but needs an experienced rider as she is cinchy. Loves to be worked, great natural horsemanship student! Lots of life left in this gal. ONLY asking $750
I have pics of all the horses. Please consider any avalible space you may have. Some horses MUST be placed soon. Hay is only getting more expensive! We simply can no longer afford to keep these baby's. More info and pics apon request.
