Posted by Susan on 10/30/2007, 9:21 pm I am posting this for Patricia of Cavalia Stable. If you want to meet any of these available horses, call her at 425-432-9697. More info at the website: www.cavaliastable.com/sitemap Rescue Horses- healthy, loved, After months of quality food, medical care, shots/worming, foot care and most important- regular interaction and lots of love and attention, Cavalia stables offers the following rescues available for adoption to approved homes. We think you will find that our rescues do not look like traditional rescues- the fear is long gone from their eyes, signs of neglect have faded away and all you will see is horses ready for a second chance. YOUNG HORSES- These young horses have been handled and are friendly, most are good at halter. All are sound and excellent riding prospects. Serenity is a very flashy Quarter horse mare approximately two years old. She is very sensitive and needs a gentle hand but when she finds her forever home she will be a loyal horse. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PASTURE PETS- these horses cannot be ridden but will still make lovely companions and are worth giving a chance to have a nice retirement. Consider these horses as companions to your riding horses. If you have an open pasture take two, and let them retire with a friend. Sarah is a beautiful bay with a pretty blaze. She is about 22 years old and has an old leg injury so she cannot be ridden but would be a lovely pasture pal and companion for you. Tara is a georgeous black mare who is close to 30 years old. Tara loves to be cuddled and talked to and is very gentle and kind, never pushy. She'd rather stand with you and be petted than eat (rare for a horse!) and really deserves a good home. She would be such a good companion for a younger horse. Like our other Pasture pets, she is not able to be ridden but can be led around and loves kind people. Please call Cavalia Stable at 425-432-9697 and speak with Patricia to make arrangements to meet these fine horses. We do ask that applicants remember that no one knows the history of a rescue horse; we have done our best to begun to earn their trust and they are definitely healthy now, but a rescue horse means prepared to invest time and energy with them. They are definitely worth it!!!

Sequoia is a yearling Mustang mare- a strikingly pretty black bay; her personality is as beautiful as her looks. We can see Sequoia as a 4-H project for a little girl. Sequoia will 'smile' by lifting her lip. She does this frequently, it's really cute. We think she just loves to smell things, but like to call it her smile.
Lakota is a Chestnut Mustang gelding who is also a yearling. He needs a lot of attention but with patience and consistency will make someone a wonderful riding horse. He is approachable and with those strong mustang legs and feet and the agility these horses are known for, we can see him as a successful trail horse. Lakota also gets along very well with other horses, a really mild mannered horse that does not need to be dominant in a herd.
Bubbles is about 2.5 -3 years old and is looking forward to finding a home where she can be trained and ridden. She is sound and friendly and eager to please.
Shadow is a very sweet appaloosa colored shetland sized pony. She is about 5 years old and really hopes that a boy or girl will come along and give her a home. Ponies are such a lovely way for kids to learn about horses (and so much closer to the ground for a beginning rider) we know someone will be lucky to have this special pony. We do not know if she has ever been ridden, but we know she is friendly and healthy and ready to roll.
Cinnamon's Colt is also available- he has a pretty head, beautiful straight legs, is very very friendly and easygoing and will make someone a wonderful horse. He will follow you all around the field but is not pushy at all, really respects space. He'd love someone to adopt him and allow his mom to retire with them as well, but will also be available on his own once weaned. We haven't named him because we're waiting for you to choose a name for him when you take him home.
Cinnamon is a wonderful mom to a 2 month old colt. He is just awesome. He leads and loves to be hugged and loved. Cinnamon is kind and patient with us and shows trust. Cinnamon is a horse in her mid to late twenties, and would be an excellent companion or pasture pet, but not a riding horse. It is unfortunate Cinnamon had to have a foal so late in life but she is so forgiving she just takes excellent care of him- we can't wait to find someone to take great care of her. Although she is older, she is very healthy and does not require any special medications or anything.
Dolly a forgiving paint mare in her mid twenties can no longer be ridden but is ready to be your best friend forever and she deserves it- she spent many years winning shows but when she was used up someone cast her aside and now she needs a kind person to let her spend her golden years relaxing. She is pretty to look at with beautiful markings and loves interaction.
