As far as riding clubs that meet up and go for trail rides, the best by a long shot would be backcountry horseman. www.bchw.org They have multiple chapters, all across the northwest, and go on tons of orginized trail rides. Some as tough as they can basically get, others nice and easy. Search for your local chapter, and have fun! It's 100% worth it! The people are great, and the rides are a blast.
