Northwest Horse Park in Orting has 2 great spaces available! I wouldn't steer you wrong, you will love it here!! The indoor arena is literally minutes away from happening, just waiting a stamp of approval from the county, the parts are ready to be put together!! Call Jessica at 253-232-5553 (and tell her you saw DeAnne's message!)
• Individual Living Paddocks - We believe in allowing a horse to have the room to run and the feeling of security. Offered for boarding are eighteen (18) 50x300 paddocks with a 10x12 two-sided shelter.
• Pastures - Horses are turned out to our 8 acre grass pasture 3 times per week when the pastures are open. Pasture is closed when grass goes dormant or is over saturated. Horses that are horribly aggressive or hard to catch will not be turned out into the pasture. For these horses we will have open pasture time for owners to turn their horses out on their own and at their own risk.
• Main Stables - Well under way, this building has been transformed into a 6 stall barn. The entire building has brushed concrete floors, ideal for cleanliness, stability and traction. These stalls were created not for full time use but for special circumstances. One 12x22 stall was created with large attached run. One 10x12 stall with large attached run was created with removable walls to make this a 10x24 stall if needed. Each remaining stall is 10x12. These stalls are not used for full time boarding so we can have them for temporary use. Situations such as illness, injuries, foaling, and prep for shows, temporary housing and move-ins are among a few of the options for these stalls. Each stall is 10x12 with mats, feed doors, grill work along three walls for visibility and ventilation, and clear paneling on outside walls and ceiling for natural lighting and ventilation. These stalls are open to use by boarders if needed.
• Temporary Outdoor Arena - Currently we have a 125x125 outdoor arena located near the front of the property. This arena has nice wood rail fencing with acceptable footing. Once a 30 tree fruit orchard, we have removed all wood and rocks to give us a well draining sandy loam dirt surface.
• Round Pen - 60 foot round pen. This round pen is very sturdy with wood construction and bracing every 4 feet. The footing is hogs fuel for a soft well draining surface.
• Round Pen - 50 foot round pen made of sturdy galvanized panels located next to the stables with sand footing
• Indoor Riding Arena - Too many years in the making but we are finally there! This 80x200 indoor arena is just waiting for the county stamp and we will be up and running! Located near the Main Stables, this facility will be well lit with natural and artificial light. Being built by Superior Building Manufacturer in Spokane, WA this building will be up and ready to ride in 2 weeks after the county gives us the final approval. A soft surface will be maintained on a daily surface for the safety of your and your horse.
• Outdoor Riding Track - Around to the Indoor Riding Arena will be a riding track.
• Grooming Areas - Located near the main stables and 50 foot round pen are two hitching posts for your outdoor grooming needs. The majority of the indoor stables are wide open for covered grooming.
• Parking -Yes we have gravel parking and yes it is limited. If you need parking for your trailer we can always find room but you need to be proficient at backing your trailer. Sorry - our wide open spaces are kept for our horses. Vehicles are able to park in a designated area next to our yellow barn. Overflow parking is available in front of the carport. Please don't block in the yellow trucks as they come and go all the time. We may put in more parking once the arena is up but that is still up in the air.
• Trail Access - Northwest Horse Park is backed up to the Puyallup River to the Puyallup River. There are many areas on Northwest Horse Park's property to ride, and spectacular views around every turn. Just down the road is the ever growing Foothills Trail, currently stretching more than a dozen miles from Puyallup to South Prairie and growing to more then 15 miles! Want More??? Enjoy the acres of land in nearby timber or open space land that is currently enjoyed by horse enthusiasts for scenic forested trail rides.
• Tack Room - A separate and secured 1375 square foot building for your riding equipment. Away from all feed and filled with natural light, this building is meant to help keep your tack safe from animal and mold damage. All windows are tinted to keep the harmful rays from sun burning your equipments but lets' the natural light in to deter mold growth.
