OK, let me explain. If nothing changed, there would be an A division with 4 teams. Not good. 4 B division teams have moved up to A. For this year only, I thought since they did help to make the A division bigger, we could at least have separate divisions in A for the sole purpose of having a former B team have a chance to go to the A finals. Is this fair to the 4 original A teams? Not really, but to make this league better and save the A division, I thought maybe a compromise. If we had one big division, and took the top 6 teams, and the bottom 2 teams are out, all that would do is make these teams want to go back to B next year. Does that make sense?
I mean, we can take the top 3 teams instead of all 4, but you guys know that there is a good chance that the 4th place team in A1 has a better record than the 3rd place team in A2 and then that's not good either.
Nick, Smitty both think about this. Those 4 teams could have said we won't play A. Then the A teams say we won't play Norristown ... But they did move up, the A1 A2 is a one year transitional thing for the B teams that moved up. If I am wrong, tell me. But I just think this is the best thing to do for 2017. It has worked in the past every time a group of teams moved up a division. Thanks Steve.
