Personally the Norristown league is all I know as itís the only menís league Iíve played in for the last 10 years, but I know itís the only menís league I want to play in till the wheels fall off.
Iím glad there is a message board because it is pretty entertaining to check it out from time to time. But the message board is a forum for updating scores, communicating to the league ideas, etc. However when people or teams threaten to leave over rules proposed on the board, thatís bush league. I agree with Logan that Steve and Heels shouldnít change the course of the ship because of this. League meetings are a place for managers to speak for their teams to voice their opinions but Logan is right, the overall setup of the rules needs to be decided by the top.
Iím a rec leaguer for life (so I know my opinion only counts about half or ĺ) but I just want a place to play somewhat competitive softball and get away from my family for a night a week.
But in reading the posts Iíve gathered the majority is
1) in favor of double headers
2) not interested in playing the same 4 or 5 teams
3) height of pitches seems to go both ways but I think Steve and Heels should decide or defer to the Pitchers
As was mentioned many times, you canít make everyone help so letís setup another league meeting soon and iron out the remaining stuff and get on with it.
