Let be honest with each other. Allowing a pitcher to throw an additional 2ft higher does nothing for saftey. Mathematically speaking we are talking about tenth of a second. The safety issue has nothing to do with pre contact timing. It has everything to do with the exit velocity of a batted ball. I.e. a batted ball at 80mph is past the pitcher in under .38 seconds. If saftey is a true concern put a net in front of the pitcher or go single wall. I think every one here is for player safety, but to think this has saftey in mind is silly. There is a reason why ASA changed the rules.
