Favorite Umpire - Dave Halter
(Originally, somebody put the poll up for best umpire. I don't think thats fair that we single out anyone who has this thankless job for either doing good or bad. All of them do the best they can every single time that step on the field.)- So I changed the award to the Players favorite Umpire. Thanks for understanding Big Dave Halter.

Congrats to all of you and to the rest of the league. I think this year ended much more peaceful than last year. And I hope every year from now on just keeps getting better ... again. There are too many good and decent people in this league for it to look back in the eyes of others around the area. As Doc of Rib House said, lets make Norristown Softball Great again.
Thank You once again Sullivan Heels Gelet. You are the best. Every singe day, you go down to the field and work on it tirelessly and it looked great all year. The Schedule was a little annoying, but only because we supported Bridgeport by making a place for them to play, which in my opinion was the right thing to do.
I want to have the Heels Cup Championship. Kevin McCarthy and Ryan Windt and talking and will arrange a date (probably a friday night). And the C-Champ - Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home/Dairy Cafe will play the B-Champ - Facenda Whitaker in a best of 3 playoff.
When they complete this, Dave Powell assures me he will have a team ready to play the winner as his A-Champ - Rib House/Sal's Barber shop will play the B/C champ for the Heels Cup Trophy in a best of 3 series, most likly the following Friday night (as long as Heels says its OK).
And we will have an end of the season meeting of the Managers to go over anything and everything this year that didn't go quite well and we will fix it for next year, that way comes February, nobody can say, they were not prepared for any changes.
All I need is for you knuckleheads to look at the Fall League Schedule and let me know a night where there are two teams playing that are not in the Norristown Summer League. Then we can have a meeting with every manager in attendance.
The only thing is that it can't be Wednesday as I promised the Coed People that play in East Norriton, the meeting would not be on a Wednesday. Heels, you and the players know what teams in the fall league don't need to be at the meeting, so please let me know a night that is good for all.
Thanks fo every single one of you that helped out this year and as I said, especially to Heels as I have said forever, He IS Norristown Softball. Thank you for everything you do Sully. It is much appreciated. And thanks to the people that did work on the field and surroundings. Thanks to the Sponsors who without them, we would all owe Heels League fees. Thanks to the Umpires, who I know take a beating down there, but These guys are all super people. All of you, Tom Borai, Bobby Pettine, Joe Tomchick, Joe Fabrizio, Sonny Termine, Keith Bean, Butchie Fisher, Dave Halter and whoever else risks their life to come down here. Respectfully, Steve Dimitry
