For the first time in the history of the Linfield ASA Softball League after the 36 regular season games there were 3 teams with a 28-8 record.
Our written league By-Laws state all ties are broken with games on the field. We had the procedure for 2 way, 3 way and 4 way ties given in writing to teams at the our first league meeting on Jan 19, 2012. The 10 managers approve the by-laws.
Tiebreaker results from Friday, July 13, 2012:
Spikes over Spectrum 19-4
(As a result Spectrum has playoff position #3)
Outlaws over Spikes 10-9
(As a result Outlaws - playoff position #1
and Spikes - playoff position #2)
Best of luck to all 10 teams in the playoffs.
Great regular season with the first year using the mat for balls & strikes.
