Obviously on the outside looking in on this one, but some of the issues with picking it up where it left off was having the same exact guys on the night you resume the game. If you don't have the same guys, inserting subs, taking outs for guys not there, etc. Also, in most cases, a lack of detailed records (batting order, players, etc) to pick up the game exactly where it left off. Just a few thoughts.
