George, we have been fighting to get this passed at the states for years ... we always lose in a close vote, but even if more hands were raised for yes, we still lose because of nobody at our state level wants it - Its safer and the funny thing is - you don't have to pitch from 55 feet if you don't want to. it's actually beneficial to the hitter if the pitcher pitches from 55 feet as the 10 foot arc limit would basically be harder to throw without having to throw the ball harder. Hell, I remember when the mound was 46' and the 12 foot arc looked much higher. Basic Physics - "the Apex" - Bill Shipe, correct me if I used the wrong scientic venue of Physics??
Then of course it all depends on what the umpire's view of 10 feet is also ... I'll quit while I am ahead. - Steve
