In our league, at some fields we use sliding bases. Let's say a batter hits a ground ball to the shortstop who fields and makes the throw to first. The first baseman accidentally kicks the base away while taking the throw. Does the fielder just have to touch where the bag was before it was kicked? How about the runner?
Can anyone point me to the rule(s) about this online?
