King of useless information
I know it's just a Fall League, but it's always nice to be recognized by your peers and the managers have spoken again.
The Norristown Sunday Fall League gave out the annual awards also. Carmen Desimone of Legion of
Boom captured the regular Season MVP award by a vote of the managers and UIC.
The Voting tallies are as such:
1-Carmen Desimone, Legion of Boom (2 votes)
2 tie-Scott Acornley, TNT/Gibbons (1 vote)
2 tie-Derek Angelo, Legion of Boom (1 vote)
2 tie-Eric Benitez, Legion of Book (1 vote)
Also, Eric Benitez was awarded the Sportsmanship Award for the way he ALWAYS handles himself with class and integrity. He is a wonderful person and I'm proud I got the chance to get to know him. The last award went to Big Matt Bates of Legion of Boom who won the Home Run title (5), edging out Carmen Desimone, Tom Gibbons and Matt O'Hara. Thanks for another great season. I'd like to thank Sonny Termine for being Umpire-in-Chief and also to Jay Risse; and Jimmy Myers for umpiring also. Also, thanks to Sonny for providing our team with shirts, it was appreciated. - Steve
