Spikes over Spring-Ford AA 14-10
Spikes wins the best of 7 game finals (4-1)
Note: Spikes had an amazing 45-4 (.918) record
in 2009 in the Linfield ASA Softball League. No Linfield team has ever had a winning percentage that high. Spikes is managed by Lew Hoffman.
Lew also plays senior softball for the Spring-Ford AA 50+, 55+ & 60+ teams.
Editorial Notes: Their older players are playing better than ever. Most of the players on the team have two swings, base hit swing and the homerun swing. Their younger players are very, very fast and do not make mistakes. They have the best pitcher in the area in Derek Wilson. He is also is the best fielding pitcher. they lost a playoff game last Thursday, September 10. They had not lost in the league since June 23 !!!
