Garners did win it, they beat Gallerie in the finals. Spring Ford AA came in third. Tom Schadt put together a nice team and I think the big diffeence was that Barry Schwauger was pitching and he fielded the middle extremely well. - Steve

There was an all-tournament team selected but we left before that. I know Mac Dean from Garners made it. Nobody from our team did, because we came in 5th. probably could have had a couple of guys on it. Bobby Rogers played great and hit great (I believe he was like 11-18). John Casner played a great outfield and hit some missiles over the fence. The guy with the most hits (13, if I remember from the book) is in a coma today because he had to run for himself all weekend.
It was a real well run organized and evenly matched tournament. Ernie, I heard you met Dave Pering up in Drifton, he told me that you were talking to him. I don't think he put two and two together that you were the one helping to run the "E" states in Wilkes-Barre.
Andy, am I still you favorite catcher or just plain nuts back there? The umpires all asked me if I was your friend or just liked to torment you. The TNT team comsisted of:
P-Andy Drobek; EH-Dale Hood; 1B-Bobby Keyser, 3B-Bill Brown; 2B-Bob Searles; SS-Bob Rogers; LF-Ron Weikel; LC-John Casner; LC-Jerry Freas, RF-Dean Finch, C-Steve Dimitry. Scott Acornly started the first couple of games in OF before pulling quad muscle (he hit real well, as usual up to that point). We had another guy named Joe and Mike Corlis made the trip to cheer us on and was a big inspiration to me personally to see hi there in a TNT shirt (thanks Mike, you always have the calming words to make the game see so easy). Jeez, I hope I didn't miss anybody. Manager Charles "Sonny" Termine III was the sponsor/manager/coach/scorekeeper/pinch runner.
Congrats to Garner, Gallerie and Spring Ford on a fine weekend. all these teams played great.
