Hey! I just thought I'd pass on that the Frederick Chevrolet 50 & Over Major+ Softball
Team won the SSUSA (Senior Softball) Crabtown Classic held in Glen Burnie, MD this past weekend.
I thought it appopriate to post it on this board
because the top three hitters on the team are from your area!
Warren Grant hit .862 with 3 Hr's, Clarke Farrell hit .833 with 2 Hr's, and Roger Kummerer
hit .840 with 7 Hr's.
I don't know if there is something in the water
down your way but if there is, I think I'll start
hanging out down there! Those 3 guys put on an
impressive display! Talk about being automatic!
They also were flawless on defense!
The Team went 7-1. After losing the undefeated game in Double Elimination (23-20), we came back
to destroy the team that beat us. We double dipped them by scores of 21-10 and 26-14. Oh and we were only allowed to score 5 runs an inning and we had to spot the competition 5 runs every game since we were a higher classed team.
We as a team played great but Warren, Clarke and
Roger set the tone!
