Posted by Mohit Garg Yes, you are right that this is not a `reversible' change... there is something deeper into it... something to do with our self respect and self esteem... something which we have valued all our lives, something which breaks our inner values and self concept... ...maybe that is what is meant by `growing strong' and `facing the real world'... isnt it? At least this is what we are told as the reason for these acts... Perhaps, a person 1 yr. senior to me has learnt much more about life in this 1 year... sigh! mohit mohit

: EXCELLENT, Mohit!
: You're right, maybe that fellow is indeed not
: a psycho... but like you said, most people do
: not like to be stripped like that.
: But that, I feel: there's something
: 'permanant' about this stripping thing...it's
: not a reversable change or something..! We
: should avoid it!

: I appreciate your views and you may have
: liked
: being ragged and stripping in front of
: others.
: But I am not sure many people are in the same
: class as you are. One should ask the
: severity and the extent of fun in the act
: from the person who is at the recieving
: end of the whole thing.
: I think lets leave it out to the fresher to
: decide that whether he has been wronged or
: not rather than giving our own views on
: what constitutes ragging and whether it is
: fun or not.
