Posted by Bhanoo Dilbaghi I was a hosteller in Delhi from 1988 to 1992 (Kashmiri Gate). 10 years after graduation, my closest friends are the seniors that ragged me the most...(Ragging included "Chaddi Phad Kabbaddi" - whic I believe was very entertaining both for the seniors and for the players alike.. stripping, dancing, making engineering drawings for seniors, running errands, etc. If I am given a chance to be a fresher in a hostel, I will not change a thing... You guys are all losers, and I can bet you don't make any friends at college - or most probably this is a website done by a day scholar - Mama's boys...

This website is a complete waste of time. Ragging is what really makes a strong bond between seniors and Juniors, and generates a feeling of brotherhood in a hostel (to a certain extent - there are obviously situations such as beatings/forcing sexual actvities that should not be tolerated). It also creates character in the freshers, and teaches them to be independent in life, and be able to face all hardships without the support of their "Mommy"!
