I really feel u are heavily mistaken. I don't support beating a fresher black and blue for sure but being a fresher and having faced ragging a lot I am sure when I say that I enjoyed it to that max. I really don't find anything wrong in making a person strip. Didn't u bath naked in front of ur mother when u were small. u might say that I have grown up now. Well won't u strip before ur grlfriend or wife b4 having sex with her. so what's the shame in stripping in front of a guy.He won't take a photograph of u and put it on a adult site,will he?? I really feel all this fuss about ragging is due to one basic reason that is the rotten and sick attitude of out Indian Culture that sex and nakedness are bad. When u try and supress something it comes out like an explosion. So what if a fresher is asked to say a 'vulgar' statement. He should be free when saying it. and I really feel that ragging is the medium to do so.
As concerning reports of homosexuality and physical torture it should be dealt as cases of molestation as happens in the professional world but not classify it in 'RAGGING'
