Yep! You are right. Ragging is only prevalant in India (and Sri Lanka to some extent). But it is unknown of in the west the closest thing that comes is bullying which is different from ragging in the sense that a bully is a universal bully and does not care about the seniority of the victim and it is NOT a seasonal phenomenon.
