-I was hospitalized on Sept. 5, '04 with a 105 degree temperature. I was ventilated and went into respiatory failure twice. An infectious disease doctor suspected LD and within a week I was conscious and on the road to recovery. While intubated and unconscious I also discussed bizarre ideas such as dogs biting off the legs of horses in the Mediterranean and often writing "Call the cops, they're trying to kill me". Since being home, I have experienced some confusion and memory loss. Recently, my hair has begun to fall out. Anyone else seeing these or other after effects? Thanks for setting up this web site. I'd really like to know more about this disease.
