I got LD in October 2005 and spent 14 days in ICU in an induced coma on a ventalator plus another three days in hospital before being released from hospital to home recovery. I am still experiencing great joint muscle pain a lot of the time but the newest thing is extreme hair loss that began in early January. I have lost almost half of my hair (already) and it continues to fall out rapidly daily!! My doctor's have checked my thyroid and changed my meds and it hasn't helped. They don't know if the hair loss will stop or the hair will regrow. I am a female,58 years old and this is really a problem for me. Does anyone have any words of encouragement for me?
I also am having panick attacks when riding in a car, especially at night. I never had this problem before and I am wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that I was Air Lifted from one hospital to the other at night. I was unconcious at the time but could it be something in my subconcious doing this? I am under a great deal of stress from both issues and feel like I am losing all control over my life!!!
I really would like to hear from others who have been through this and need some words of encouragement!!!
