2. remove leaves and pieces of the soft bark scraped from the outside of twigs and make into a ball (anything from the size of peanut to a whole gob full).
3. The ball should then be squeezed, not chewed, and the goodies are absorbed into the mouth lining.
4. When the khat taste has gone the ball is spat out or swallowed, then go back to another ball.
