Cassette Book Collections are very similar to CD dramas, only the story is on a cassette tape instead of on a CD. There are four Cassette Books, each of them are different Stories (different from the CD dramas as well).
The summary of the story of Cassette Book Collection Vol #1 is: The residue of Arago escaped from the youja-kai, and disguised itself in the form of Kayura. It was finally destroyed by Touma, Shuu, Ryo, and the real Kayura. (Shin and Seiji did not appear in the whole Cassette Book Collection #1).There are some short stories included in this volume as well, such as "Touma's wake-up call", "Ryo's hold-up call", "Shuu's good night call", "Lord Arago's time announcement.", "Kayura's lecture of 'Surekill'". (these are all "gag" versions.)
Cassette Book Collection Vol #2 is a "gag"(=joke) version. The script writer of this volume is the famous "CLAMP". However, Vol 2 is said to be "too original" to be considered official by some fans...after all, it's a "gag" version. There are several short stories in this collection.
Cassette Book Collection Vol #3 is about the missing of Ryo's father, and the five troopers gathered to save him. There are also several short stories included in this volume, such as the famous "Nanpa call" ("Nanpa" means 'girl-hunting' in Japanese), and "Shin's I'm-sorry call", and "Seiji's Congratulation call". ("gag" versions)
Cassette Book Collection Vol #4 is Shuten's story. The troopers didn't appear in this volume at all.
Cassette Book Collections are only in Japanese. I have translated two stories from the Cassette Book Three ('Soshite, gonin'and 'Nanpa Call')
There has been a CD version of the Cassette Book Collection published in Japan long time ago, but the CD version is pretty difficult to find.
