I obviously don't know as much about Japan as you do, but I did get at least the names of the locations where the troopers were, right? I did also check Wikipedia for additional info, though I'm not sure at all about the info regarding Naruto.
According to Wikipedia, Hachiouji is a city surrounded by mountains. I'm assuming Ryou and Touma landed on one of these mountains? But I was pretty skeptical about the whole Kyushu business myself. And I guess it's no coincidence that Hachiouji is apparently related to Touma's ancestor. Perhaps the person writing the article made a mistake and was really referring to the Hachiouji Castle, btw? It's mentioned as being located on one of the mountains.
