I've noticed, through reading character bios and CD Dramas, that many of the Troopers have "complicated" home lives, or complex relations with their families. ...For example, Touma purposefully studies Ancient History and Tactics in rebellion of his father.
Is there reason behind this? For example, Touma's father not being home enough? Would Seiji's grandfather have tension (in the Date home) or argument with Seiji's father for choosing martial arts over kendo (as a means to live)? Does Ryo suffer because of his father's unwillingness to lead the Sanada clan?
Just curious as to whether these "issues" are ever expanded upon in the YST universe. Thank you, again, for all your help and insight.
