Dear Nick and Webmaster,
I too need the Nietzsche quote that runs: "Rather than cope with the unbearable loneliness of their condition, men will continue to seek their shattered God, and for His sake they will love the very serpents that dwell among his ruins." I would like to use this quote on my literature paper on the Lost Generation. I saw that someone posted a response saying that it was in his 1882 notebook, which I do not have access to.
Because I need this quote on short notice, I was hoping someone would be kind enough to quote it exactly for me and provide a bibliographic citation. Thanks very much.
