Why should Zarathustra be a Jesus or a anti-christ, when he in fact can be a no one, the void? And do he, Zarathustra, ever succed? : Says who? I see that Zarathustra with that just say he is the rope-dancer... :

: The overman is the meaning of life that
: Zarathustra teaches. Here he says that the
: rope-dancer fell because his life lacked
: meaning. So caution is one thing, but a deep
: sense of meaning is essential too, to cross
: the rope. The rope-dancer went too fast, and
: too casually. Like a dilettante.
: I'm convinced that the death of God has
: indeed lead to a potential lack of meaning,
: and that the overman is a new form of
: transcendence (a this-worldly, immanent form
: of transcendence.)

: Meanwhile the evening came on, and the
: market-place veiled itself in gloom. Then
: the people dispersed, for even curiosity and

: however, still sat beside the dead man on
: the ground, absorbed in thought: so he
: forgot the time. But at last it became
: night, and a cold wind blew upon the lonely
: one. Then arose Zarathustra and said to his
: heart: Verily, a fine catch of fish hath
: Zarathustra made to-day! It is not a man he
: hath caught, but a corpse.
: [This of course points to John 21:19
: :"And he saith unto them, Follow me,
: and I will make you fishers of men."
: Zarathustra has not yet achieved Jesus'

: Sombre is human life, and as yet without
: meaning: a buffoon may be fateful to it.
: I want to teach men the sense of their
: existence, which is the Superman, the
: lightning out of the dark cloud--man.
: But still am I far from them, and my sense
: speaketh not unto their sense. To men I am
: still something between a fool and a corpse.
: [A fool because the people thought he was
: crazy, a corpse because they could have
: attacked and killed him? Th.]
: Gloomy is the night, gloomy are the ways of
: Zarathustra. Come, thou cold and stiff
: companion! I carry thee to the place where I
: shall bury thee with mine own hands.
