He's not the head honcho, so there's not much he can do. He was born into the business and has lived with it all his life. If he wasn't intelligent and knowledgable about the wrestling business, then his father wouldn't put him in a position of power at all.

Shane McMahon has been staying away from WWE television tapings lately because he is unhappy with the direction of the company. The general consensus in the locker room regarding the Shane situation is that while he may not be happy with the direction of the company, he doesn't have the wisdom or wrestling knowledge to do anything to make the company better. Basically, people see Shane McMahon as being somewhat of a hypocrite.
