The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) banned Bobby Pickett’s “Monster Mash” in 1962, claiming the song was “too morbid” for airplay123. The song was released through producer Gary S. Paxton’s Garpax label in the US, while London Records issued it in the UK3. The song was banned for 11 years by the BBC2.
After 11 years they decided it was okay? Go figure.
