Yeah, the plan still works.
I've on reached the summit once backpacking via the main trail. I've utilized Horseshoe Meadow 3 times via two passes, doing it 5, 6 and 3 days.
This year we will be doing starting in Onion Valley...if none of my partners bailout. The plan is to do it in 4 days.
