Rolanda, I'm new here on this board, but in reviewing right away the posts that interest me and wanting to throw my 2 cents in...in the past 2.5 years I've heard both pros and cons about your topic. If your true "motive" for wanting to do this is a) to be right on the "front lines," to gain esposure to volume that would take a long time to get, to see such an array of houses at different price levels, in different sections of the same towns as well as in different towns AND b) to get a first 3:00 A.M._crack of dawn look at the ML (listings) it could be worthwhile.
However, if you have done a really good job at locating and getting "quality" "team-players" on YOUR team (a broker/agent) you could have access to the ML's before most of the Brokers, Broker-agents or other REI's get them when the cream-of-the-crop is skimmed-off and you won't be just looking at the "chaff."
I think the pros outweigh the cons and if you haven't already done it...go for it! Go get the Broker-agent training and use it as a tool for developing your REI_$uccess. I wish you well.
