I'm currently in my pre-licensing courses. A broker that I know approached me about working for him and offered to pay for these classes, so I decided to take him up on the offer. His brokerage is small and the support tools are limited. I am comfortable about his ability and the availability of one-on-one assistance, but most of the fees, equipment, and lead-generation will be my responsibility. Furthermore, I will be working out of my home, since the brokerage is in his home. Knowing that the broker-agent commission split is negotiable, and given the specifics of my situation, what is a reasonable range of commission I should expect?
